4 *tiny* ways to relax as a mom

Hey Mama!!

Do you find yourself feeling guilty for relaxing?

  • There is the never ending to-do list.
  • The thought that you SHOULD always be productive.
  • Or maybe you worry that you didn’t play with your kids enough today.

Recently, I’ve fallen into this trap again….. because we are in a VERY BUSY season.

Right now, I’m not sure if I’m a housekeeper, stay-at-home mom, teacher, or full time chef…. which causes my mind to ALWAYS be on.

Last week, I realized that it had been WEEKS since I had done anything for myself. But, I immediately came up with the excuse: when would I have time?

I’ve always been one who strives to get it all done.. I guess you could call me an overachiever.

But these days, (i’m embarrassed to admit) it’s causing me to feel rage again……..

Surprise… I’m human too.

This week, I’ve been focusing on tiny way to relax (a little). I feel myself coming alive again!

Anyhow, I want to share 4 *tiny* ways you can relax this weekend (for less than 5-minutes guilt-free.)

#1 Music + a Candle light shower.

#2 Enjoy something warm to drink + Watch the Sunrise/Sunset

#3 Rock in a Rocking Chair (this is so soothing for the nervous system).

#4 Rub lotion on your hands and feet.

If you are like me and struggle to Relax, I did an entire episode on How to become a Relaxed Mom and you can watch that here.

With that being said, I hope these helped and encouraged you to slow down and fill up your cup this weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend… and Happy Parenting!

-Alexis
