moms with young kids need this.

Hey Mama!!

Parenting young children is different.
Somehow it feels easier than the toddler phase and more complicated all at the same time.

Last week’s podcast episode about 9 Habits for Stay-At-Home Moms with Young Children (which you can watch below):

Since my oldest isn’t in the toddler phase anymore, I’ve found myself needing to shift some things in my life…. so I can enjoy a little more ease.

It’s interesting because I began feeling triggered (again) this past week.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here.

Truthfully, I didn’t feel confident in how I was showing up as a mom…

The perfectionist in me…… was hyper focusing on the fact that I wasn’t meeting my expectations for motherhood.

KEY WORDS……… MY EXPECTATIONS.

I raised the bar when there was more ease in my daily life….. and I forgot that when life happens… I need to lower my expectations again.

This week I was chatting with a client about the UNREACHABLE expectations that we hold ourselves to.

She’s really struggling with perfectionism…

So of course, when her expectations aren’t met…. her whole day feels ruined.

Before I began my Rage-Free journey, I had the mentality that if I didn’t get my to-do list done… or if I couldn’t soothe my baby to sleep quickly…
T
HEN MY WHOLE DAY WAS RUINED.

So, what shifted?? How can I have an imperfect day… and still feel at ease??
#1 Reconnecting to my Body
#2 Having REALISTIC Expectations (that change with each season)
#3 Knowing how to Re-Center myself after an imperfect moment.

If you are reading this and WISHING that you knew how to get UNSTUCK… that’s what I help mamas do in coaching.

I find that in 4 sessions moms begin to unravel… that’s why I began the Motherhood Mentorship Program (see my offerings here).

Journaling Prompt for this Week:
What are the UNREACHABLE expectations that you hold yourself to?

If you are needing more encouragement, you can read past emails here! I hope you enjoy!

Lastly, I have some EXCITING news about the Heart of Parenting Group Container.. so I’ll be sharing an extra email about that later this week.

Anyhow, I hope this email has encouraged you…. and Happy Parenting!
