Hey Mama!
I know how daunting nervous system work is. The process is long (I’m still healing).. and takes a lot of intentional effort.
But the truth is…. you can begin with just little daily habits.
This week I shared my favorite Daily Habits to Heal your Nervous System… even if you are a busy mom (you can watch it below):
I should mention that these habits aren’t hard.
The most impactful habit I’ve implemented is slowing down.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” – Lao Tzu
What makes moms think we are the exception?
If you are starting to panic…. I get it. At first, I did too.
– What about the laundry?
– Dinner?
– Getting the kids to practice?
It feels like a life with kids = Chaos.
But, this doesn’t have to be true.
What if we did the laundry, dinner, and packing the kids up for practice… slowly?
Let’s use laundry as an example; Moving slowly through doing the laundry will…
- Allow you to be fully present in the moment.
- Allow space for your kiddos to “help”
- It will give your mind the ability to focus on one task.
- It will slow down the pace of your day.
It’s surprising how simple and effective slowing down can be.
Hope you have a good rest of your week!!
-Alexis
