Hey Mama!!
Do you ever find yourself wishing that there was a handbook for motherhood?
I often find myself saying “gosh why didn’t anyone tell me about this?”
Not that these things would have scared me away from becoming a mom, but gosh I could have done a lot of things to prepare myself.
Last week, I shared 7 things I WISH I knew BEFORE Becoming a Stay-at-Home mom (which you can watch below):
For the first few years of motherhood, I found myself in so many unhealthy beliefs.
There was a lot of blaming, especially towards my kids.
It was their fault I wasn’t sleeping.
It was their fault I was irritable.
It was their fault I couldn’t take care of myself.
It was their fault that the house was messy.
It was their fault I couldn’t make home cooked meals.
It was their fault I couldn’t spend more time with my husband.
Gosh, the list went on… and on.
Until one day I realized that I was under the belief that motherhood was draining... and that I had to be a martyr to motherhood.
As I began digging into this unhealthy belief system, I came to the most SHOCKING realization:
Playing the VICTIM was meeting my need for love, care, affection, and connection.
This discovery is when lead me to begin healing the inner parts of me… that was so quick to blame my kids.
Now, if you are reading this and thinking to yourself… GOSH… that’s me… Keep reading because I want to give you hope.
About a month ago, I started coaching a mama who felt like she was miserable all the time and was losing herself because of motherhood. This was causing her to blame her kids and respond with anger/rage.
In our session last week, she was in tears because for the first time….. she didn’t rage.
- She was able to identify her trigger.
- Pause.
- Notice her feelings… understand her needs.
- and THEN Choose the doorway that would bring her calm.
And you know what…… this permanently began rewiring her brain.
Yes… it’s changing how her brain functions through neuroplacticity.. which is how the brain takes disconnected neurons and connects them by learning a new skill!
Everyday, little by little… she is going to begin strengthening these pathways. Which means it’s going to get easier and easier for her to choose the doorway that will invite peace and calm into any situation.
This month I have 2 coaching spots available!!
I can email you more information if you are interested, just reply to this email.
Journaling Prompt for this Week:

Anyhow, I hope this email has encouraged you…. and Happy Parenting ❤️
-Alexis
